These devices are now in use across four warehouses and two distribution centers.

Streamlined Warehouse Operations with RK95
Before implementation, warehouse workers had to climb shelves or dismount from forklifts to scan barcodes—a time-consuming and physically demanding process. With CipherLab’s RK95 industrial mobile computer, that’s no longer necessary. Equipped with versatile scanning options—including laser, 2D imager, mid-range, and extended-range 2D imagers—the RK95 allows workers to scan barcodes from a distance, even when positioned high on shelves or while operating forklifts. This has led to an immediate boost in productivity and a safer working environment.

Enhanced Assembly Line Data Collection with RK25
The company also uses CipherLab’s RK25 rugged mobile computer to streamline data collection during the assembly process. This device reads 2D barcodes on hoses during and after assembly, enabling accurate tracking of product and production information. The RK25’s 70-degree scanning angle enhances ease of use, simplifies on-screen data checking, and minimizes wrist fatigue for workers. (Note: The RK25 is now succeeded by the RK26.)

Efficient Software Deployment with WMDS
Beyond hardware, CipherLab supports the company with powerful software tools. The Wireless Mobile Deployment System (WMDS), developed in-house by CipherLab, simplifies and speeds up device configuration across multiple units. This Windows-based server application works in tandem with CipherLab’s Android Deployment Configuration (ADC) tool to wirelessly deploy settings to Android-based devices. WMDS allows IT teams to configure multiple devices at once, while monitoring their status in real time—optimizing the entire deployment process.
