Superior Sensitivity and Performance

The RS38 UHF RFID reader offers exceptional sensitivity and performance for demanding applications, reading over 1300 tags per second at distances up to 10+ meters. It meets extensive reading needs and complies with the EPC Global Gen 2v2 standard, ensuring high security in warehouses, retail stores, and healthcare facilities.

Optimized RFID Functionality for Better Productivity

Data collection is stable and secure with a direct 8-pin electrical connection to the host device. Users can easily switch between RFID and barcode scanning using hotkeys assigned via the Button Assignment utility. The Triggerless function in EZEdit also offers a one-click, software-triggered RFID reading option, reducing user fatigue.

Extended Power and Flexible Charging

Combining the RS38's battery with the UHF RFID reader's 3,000 mAh battery provides enough power to support an entire work shift, eliminating work interruptions and battery replacements. Both devices can charge together on a single cradle, snap-on cable, or with a direct battery change. Battery levels for both can be monitored on the mobile computer screen, offering multiple fast charging options.

Rugged and Reliable for Intensive Use

CipherLab’s UHF RFID readers are IP54 rated for dust and water resistance and withstand 1.2-meter drops. Their ergonomic design, tested for reliability with 2.5 million trigger presses, features a slim, comfortable handle, making them ideal for intensive RFID and barcode data collection.

Maximum read rate and read range are subject to the function setting, tag performance, test environment and conditions. The test result is based on Smartrac DogBone RFID tag Impinj MozaR6(97 x 27 mm / 3.82 x 1.06 in).

The Scanning speeds are reference values. Actual multiple scanning speeds will depend on the environment. The result tested by Cipherlab Fastest mode setting with FM0 400KHz/640KHz, Section0, Dynamic Q in ALN9740 700 tags space.

Software Solutions

EZConfig
EZConfig quickly configures CipherLab UHF RFID readers, allowing customization of Scan Settings, Filter options to include or exclude tag data, and Multi-tag Mode for power savings and high-speed reading. It supports multiple tag types, filters duplicates and provides five profiles for easy application switching, which is ideal for warehouse inventories and store replenishment.
EZEdit
Users can effortlessly access the Read, Write, and Lock functions of the RK26, RS35 and RS36 UHF RFID readers via EZEdit. The Lock function enhances security by restricting tag information reading and writing. The Inventory function allows the scanning of multiple RFID tags, providing total reads and unique tag results. Tag Locating enables pinpointing tag locations with audible beeps, with volume indicating proximity.
