Auto Parts Group Turns to CipherLab RS35 to Improve Efficiency with Lower Operation Costs

A national supplier of replacement parts to the automotive industry in Australia, Auto Parts Group (APG), offers quality aftermarket and genuine parts is expanding with major distribution centers in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria/Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia. With increased consumer demand and labor-intensive warehouse operations, APG needs its regional distribution centers to be more efficient with the parts received, shelved, stored, picked, and dispatched to improve service quality and speed.
Before choosing the CipherLab RS35 mobile computers, APG used other brands' mobile computers working with SOTI Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution and their own transportation management system (TMS) to deal with parts handling, inventory management, and goods delivery. However, the original mobile computers were not reliable enough to withstand frequent drops and impact during operations, which caused some long-term problems, high repair costs, and long maintenance downtime. |

The CipherLab RS35 mobile computer features a rugged design with IP65 and IP67 ratings and 1.8m drop resistance with a rubber boot. It additionally incorporates a reinforced corner with a rubber bumper for accidental drops and falls protection. After strict testing, APG eventually replaced their mobile computers with the RS35 to sharply reduce operation costs. |

Working with the SOTI MDM solution, CipherLab shows seamless system integration capabilities for troubleshooting and agile service support. IT administrators allow real-time remote control to manage and deploy multiple devices on one platform. Also, the RS35's powerful Wi-Fi connections with fast roaming and 4G/LTE allow smooth data transmission to check incoming inventory and outbound logistics.
Additionally, IT administrators can benefit from the RS35's built-in utilities to quickly develop applications and adjust its configuration based on environmental conditions. Reader Config, for example, allows quick customization on different barcode settings to better fit into different user scenarios during device transition.
Aside from greater integration with the SOTI MDM solution, IT administrators can reply on CipherLab's self-developed ReMoCloud to easily monitor and deploy Android-based mobile devices across various verticals while keeping corporate data secure and empowering work productivity.

We were happy to present the RK95 cold storage handheld designed to work in freezer environments without condensation and applies to cold chain transport, distribution, and warehousing services.

CipherLab was honored to be invited by SATO Taiwan to co-exhibit at Taipei Int'l logistics & IoT exhibition held in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from August 24 to 27. We have presented SATO's purchase-sales-inventory app combined with CipherLab's RS35 touch mobile computer to boost optimal speed and efficiency in picking. Furthermore, color barcode label solution for food or materials expiration date identification was also a focus. Besides, CipherLab's Android mobile computers and barcode scanners were also presented by partners Advantech, BankPro, Panasonic, and more. Combining partners' software and hardware advantages, CipherLab provides the latest solutions for logistics, distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, and retail. We were thrilled to have met and exchanged industry experiences with partners and professionals during the exhibition!
