Cleaning instructions for CipherLab Mobile Computer
Warning:

1.  Please wear safety goggles before use
2.  Please read warning label on alcohol product
3.  When using any alcohol products, avoid contacting high temperature objects
4.  Please be aware that CipherLab devices have different levels of IP (Ingress Protection), so it's advisable not to use too much alcohol when cleaning any of your devices, particularly for 8XXX series, in order to prevent possible damage.

 
Preparation:
1.  Lens tissue or fiber cloth
2.  Cotton swabs
3.  Can of compressed air with spray tube
4.  Proper cleaning ingredients:
A.  Suggested solution for cleaning: 75% ethanol solution
B.  Harmful ingredients that will damage plastic on the device include the following: acetone; ketones; ethers; aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons; aqueous or alcoholic alkaline solutions; ethanolamine; toluene; trichloroethylene; benzene; carbolic acid and TB-lysoform.

Before cleaning:
1.  Turn off device, and remove all accessories before cleaning, such as battery, hand strap, or cradle.
2.  Please do NOT apply liquid directly onto the device. Pour liquid / solution onto lens tissue or fiber cloth first. 


Cleaning procedure:
1.  Use compressed air to blow off all dust on the device, including housing, display, camera, dust cover, and all connectors.
2.  Use lens tissue or fiber cloth dipped with ethanol to wipe the housing and buttons.
3.  For small area that tissue lens or fiber cloth can’t reach and clean (such as connect pad), use cotton swab dipped with ethanol to clean instead.
